3 Ways You Can Brighten Someone’s Day

Friday, March 3rd, 2017

With all the wonderful things crafting can do to benefit your health and wellness, there really isn’t much more of an excuse to be made for engaging in such artful activities.  Since today is National ‘I-Want-You-To-Be-Happy’ Day, Team RG would like nothing more than for you to cozy up inside your craft room, pull out those art supplies, and go to town doing what fills you heart with joy. After all, the purpose of this nationally observed happy day is to encourage people to do something that will make someone else smile. Luckily, for crafters, doing what makes us happy tends to also make others happy. So, while we didn’t need to give you any more reasons to craft- here are 3 creative ways to brighten someone’s day!

Make a “Thanks For Being You” Card

If cardmaking is your thing, why not use this passion to send a smile to an unsuspecting stranger or person in your life? Create a memorable image on the front of the card and pair it with a supportive sentiment that acknowledges a quality or personality trait you love most about that person. Highlight their attributes by showing your appreciation and gratitude through creativity. You don’t even need to know that someone personally to make a difference. Create a card and leave it on the windshield of a car in the grocery store parking lot—or your neighbor’s house at the end of the street. It’s these unexpected acts of kindness that can completely change a person’s outlook on their day.

‘Treat’ Someone

Who doesn’t enjoy a nice sweet treat every now and then? Surprising someone with a cookie or baked good can sweeten up even the saltiest of days. Richard’s Celebrations collection offers an amazing die that will perfectly package your delicious goodies and even leaves some room to include a fun little tag or sentiment. The Party Box Steel Rule Die platform measures at 8 ½ x 11 inches and creates a super cute handled-carrier for when you want to spread a little cheer all year long!

Take A Moment for Yourself

While it is always admirable to create for others—we should still remember to take a little time to craft for ourselves. Give yourself an opportunity to enjoy the beauty that surrounds you. Go on a walk around the neighborhood or through a local park trail. Take a few pictures of nature and natural settings you may not have noticed before. Use those images to create a scrapbook page for your own personal journal or memory keeper. For the month of March, Fun Stampers Journey offers, My Story, a great selection of products to chronicle your personal journey.  Allow these moments to further grow your creativity and build upon everything that fills your heart with happiness.

We would love to see what you create to bring about that smile—remember to share with us on social media by tagging @TeamRichardGaray in any photos you post using Facebook or Instagram.

Now go out and Make Amazing Happen this weekend!
