Sending Some Sibling Love
Thursday, April 6th, 2017
Siblings are just the best… now. And while it probably felt like some sort of undeserved punishment growing up—as an adult it’s easy to see just how lucky we are to have them in our lives. This year, National Siblings Day is on Monday, April 10th– so what better time to send some sisterly (or brotherly) love to your childhood partner-in-crime than now?! Create a handmade card from the heart and send it out via snail mail for a nice surprise from their favorite member of the family (and I don’t mean the dog).
Here are a few ways you can say ‘hey’ on sibling’s day
A Quick ‘Hello’
Haven’t talked in a while? Send over a little ‘Hey you’ to let them know their on your mind. Who knows- you might just open up an opportunity to take a break and catch up! —Create this card using the Hey You Folds from RG’s Origami Love collection.–
Send a small reminder that can make all the difference by wishing them well on any current endeavors. Give that extra encouragement by letting them know you have their back, because-hey- it’s hard to take some risks and branch out of those comfort zones. —Create this card using the Doily Burst die set and Silver Wishes stamp set from RG’s Silver & Gold collection.–
Your sibling may not have appreciated your unsolicited advice in the past- but when has that ever stopped you? Are they trying to buy a new house? Start a family? Thinking about a career change? Whatever the case may be, inspire them to keep pushing forward. —Create this card using Time Flies stamp and die set from RG’s RG Days collection.–
A Simple ‘Thank You’
Whether or not you wish to admit it, having siblings around hasn’t been all that bad– so why not send a little recognition their way? Something tells me they’ll be both surprised and warmed by your unexpected gratitude. —Create this card using Hello Butterfly stamp and die set from RG’s Origami Love collection.–
There’s always a joker in the family- and hey- jokers need love too! Send them a laugh by writing about a fun memory from childhood that you had shared together. Bonus points if you can find a picture to match! –Create this card using The Puppet die set from RG’s Media Venture collection.–
However you choose to celebrate your sibling on Monday, just make sure you remind them of who mom’s favorite really was while growing up. Have fun with it- and remember to share with us on social media @TeamRichardGaray on Facebook and Instagram.
See You Next Time!
